After building up our appetites, residents sampled Shamrock Smoothies with whipped cream, as well as little St Patricks Day cupcakes – decorated with green field icing, piped yellow flowers and each topped with a rainbow made from sugary laces to evoke the Emerald Isle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A big thank you to our kitchen staff at the care home for their cupcake wizardry – these cakes tasted amazing! Of course, it wouldn\u2019t be St Patricks Day without a pint of Guinness too (!), which many residents relished with their meal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally staff played leprechauns and ensured that each resident got their pot of gold to end the day, in the form of a little green treasure cauldron, decorated with gold foil and filled with chocolate treats.
