As many of you will know, we are fanatics about food here at Briarlea. We pride ourselves on our home-made cuisine and use local produce where possible – such as free range eggs from nearby farms, as well as plums and blackberries from our garden orchard. <\/p>\n
However, over the past few months, our catering team have been much busier than usual\u2026as they\u2019ve been juggling their regular meal service alongside a complete refurbishment of the Briarlea kitchen! <\/p>\n
The kitchen was completed last month, meaning Briarlea\u2019s residents now enjoy food prepared in a shiny, purpose-built unit. Our designs met the approval of the Food Standards Agency, who awarded Briarlea\u2019s kitchen a 5-star hygiene rating on their most recent inspection. We couldn\u2019t be happier!<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve also listened to what dishes residents would like to see served, and launched a new rolling menu to cater to these suggestions. A new cook, Jamie, has joined Briarlea\u2019s kitchen team, while staff and residents continue to cook up a storm at our regular cookery club, making delectable treats like Bakewell Cupcakes and Coffee & Walnut Loaf. <\/p>\n
Briarlea is keen to grow its kitchen team further. So if you love to cook and are looking for a part time role (in a brand new kitchen!), then reach out to us today.<\/p>\n
